Many tech companies faced severe restrictions during the COVID-19 pandemic, which disrupted their functionality. Consequently, some major global tech giants are considering shifting their production from China. India has been one of the most sought countries in recent times for such companies to shift or establish new production bases.

Reports assert that Google is already in the discussion phase with companies like Lava International Ltd, Dixon Technologies India, and Foxconn Technology Group’s Indian unit Bharat FIH. It has also reached out to potential partners who have access to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s production-linked financial incentives. These potential partners have already achieved success in promoting domestic manufacturing.

However, reports stated that Lava, Dixon, Bharat FIH, and Alphabet haven’t shared any immediate comment regarding the matter.
