Comparing the OnePlus Pad and Xiaomi Pad 5: Which Tablet is Right for You?

OnePlus and Xiaomi are two popular smartphone manufacturers that have recently released their latest tablets – the OnePlus Pad and Xiaomi Pad 5. Both tablets are designed to compete with the likes of the iPad and other high-end tablets on the market. Let’s take a look at the key differences between the two.

The OnePlus Pad comes with a bigger RAM option but with similar storage capacity, offering 8GB or 12GB RAM and 128GB or 256GB storage options. It also has a slightly better camera configuration with a 13MP wide lens compared to Xiaomi’s 13MP lens. Additionally, the OnePlus Pad boasts a larger battery capacity, which promises a longer usage time.

However, the OnePlus Pad has a more powerful processor, the MediaTek MT6983 Dimensity 9000, which is better than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 860  used in the Xiaomi Pad 5. But Xiaomi offers a slower charging option, 33W wired compared to OnePlus’ 67W wired charging. But Xiaomi Pad 5 weighs less and is slightly smaller than the OnePlus Pad.

In terms of the display, the OnePlus Pad comes with a larger and higher resolution screen of 11.61 inches and 2000 x 2800 pixels, while Xiaomi Pad 5 has an 11-inch screen with a resolution of 1600 x 2560 pixels.

Both tablets run on Android operating systems with their respective overlays, OxygenOS 13.1 and MIUI 14. The OnePlus Pad is recently launched in the market, while the Xiaomi Pad 5 was released on August 10th, 2021.

Both tablets have their unique features and advantages. The OnePlus Pad aced this comparison of specs as it boasts larger RAM, faster charging, and battery capacity, while the Xiaomi Pad 5 lacks in these areas. It ultimately comes down to personal preferences and requirements when deciding between the two.
