Fact Check : Elon Musk to build new airport in Texas?

“Tesla is 5 mins from Austin International airport. Would be silly to build another private airport, however the existing commercial airport needs another runway, as Austin is growing fast!”, yes, that’s the tweet made by the Tesla owner recently.

And to add to that, Elon Musk has denied of his wanting to build a private airport in Texas are ‘not true’.

Earlier on reports were circulating that Musk has plans to build a new private airport in Central Texas. Austonia reported on Thursday, July 28, that Musk is developing the plan for the private airport to be possibly located near Bastrop.

But, only conceptual plans were circulating and there was no fixed timetable for the construction of the airport, however, the airport would likely service Tesla, The Boring Company and SpaceX, which are all owned by Elon Musk.

Moreover, Musk reportedly owns thousands of acres of land in Central Texas near the Colorado River Corridor.

Also, the headquarters of The Boring Company is just three miles from Austin Executive Airport. The Tesla Giga Factory is 15 miles from the private airport and 5 miles from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.

As to be believed by Austonia, Musk is currently jet-setting into Texas in a 2015 Gulfstream G650 while he awaits the delivery of a new, top-of-the-line upgraded Gulfstream. It will reportedly be delivered early next year.
